Artist Bio - Alex Stankiewicz

Alex Stankiewicz was born and raised in New London, Connecticut. His education in art began in elementary school with classes at the Slater Museum, and his formal education continued through his school years. Driven by a love of art, Alex studied with Daniel Truth, Sarah Stifler Lucas and Lou Bonamarte. After moving to Florida in the 1990s, he attended classes with Charlotte Griffin, workshops with Marsha Hamby Savage, Stapleton Kearns and Ted Matz. He has also taken classes with Sarah Sedwick and David Dunlop. Alex teaches at the Central Brevard Art Association (CBAA), participates in a variety of local art festivals, and has won many awards for his painting. He works in all mediums - oil, acrylics, watercolors and pastels.
