Open Studio

Our regular 9:30-12:30 sessions are "Open Studio." Live models pose for portrait and figure (life drawing) while artists sketch or paint using a wide variety of mediums. These sessions are ideal for developing drawing skills, learning and honing techniques, and promoting the ability to finish a piece in a limited period of time.

Non-member artists are welcome at a guest rate (see below). All skill levels are accepted – we invite you to enjoy one free session visit.

Monday mornings 10am-12pm - Still Life/Open Studio (no model)
Members no charge, Guests may make a small (optional) donation

Wednesday and Saturday mornings - Portrait
Members $7, Guests $15

Thursday mornings - Figure (Life Drawing) 
Members $10, Guests $15  (NO sessions in August)
Note:  Must be over 18 to attend these sessions
Session Description: Models are generally nude, occasionally sparsely clothed. Sessions start out with quick drawings, moving on to longer poses, with breaks.

2nd and 4th Friday mornings - Long Pose Figure Study Session
(Life Drawing - same pose)  NO sessions in August
Members $10, Guests $15
Note:  Must be over 18 to attend these sessions
Session Description: Models are generally nude, occasionally sparsely clothed. One long pose, with breaks. 

Art students (with ID) are always welcome as our guests, at no cost.

NO PHOTOGRAPHY DURING FIGURE SESSIONS*

*Figure sessions involve nude and partially clad models. The photos we post of art from those sessions are limited to protect the privacy of those individuals, whom we appreciate and who are a vital part of the studio experience. All attendees must be 18 years old (or have permission of the Guild Board and written permission from their parents).
